Focus and Intention

Focus and Intention

Intention (Prayer) Antlers

Based on the traditional medicine stick used by Native Americans, you will manifest your goal or intention or prayer in a unique piece of art. We use shed antlers from native deer and various materials (yarn, beads, string, charms, stones, etc.). The options are endless. A mindful activity in which you enjoy the company of friends, the energy of the space, and the power of nature to put forth your and manifest your intentions.

Malas

A modmala is a modern version of a traditional mala necklace. Malas have been used by Buddhists and Hindus for centuries as a guide during meditation. The 108 beads on the mala serve as a physical reminder of the number of times an intention, prayer or mantra is repeated. In this workshop, you will each create your own mala – tying 108 beads with intention. Take away your own mala. (These kits are $45 extra)

Aromatherapy

Access your bliss through essential oils. Personalize a bath soak, body or face scrub, bath/shower bomb or cuticle/heel balm using organic essential oils, salts and other materials. Take away whatever you make. Includes a quick lesson on oils and benefits. Three-take away products per guest.

Gratitude

Learn about a gratitude practice and the science that supports it. Activities vary from gratitude letters, jars, stones, journals, and the like. This can be a weekend theme or a workshop focus.

Focus Your Intention Pendulum

Learn to harness the energy of your mind. You will create a pendulum using crystals, beads, and other materials and then learn how to focus your energy and control the movement of the pendulum. It is meditation manifested. And very cool. (1.5 hours)

Finding Balance

Make your own cairn – At its core, rock stacking is a meditative exercise. It hones stillness. It encourages patience. In this activity you will practice stacking. Then you will create a permanent cairn, assigning meaning/intention to each stone. You will tie it off with a special charm. It’s a solid takeaway, a beautiful reminder.

Vision Boards

Creating a sacred space that displays what you want actually does bring it to life. What we focus on expands. When you create a vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, you essentially end up doing short visualization exercises throughout the day. Visualization is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. According to the popular book The Secret, “The law of attraction is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualizing, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe.” You will create your own vision board utilizing various mediums. This activity works best over the course of a weekend.

Buddha Board Meditation & “Painting”

The Buddha Board is inspired by the Zen idea of living in the moment. You paint on the surface with water, and your creation will come to life with bold design. Then, as the water slowly evaporates, your art magically disappears, leaving you with a clean slate and a clear mind. Combine the Buddha Board with relaxing music, guided imagery, and perhaps a glass of wine, and you will “Master the art of letting go – live for the moment and enjoy!”

Intuiti Creative Cards

Intuiti is a deck of cards, brightly colored and boldly decorated, based on archetypes and thought patterns rooted in our collective cultures and our collective conscious. Intuiti is a powerful tool– both as a simple source of inspiration and as a compass for a much deeper journey. Use the Intuiti cards to discover, recognize and break out of a pattern of repressing and discover your next step in creativity. Each card is accompanied by an explanation and a “tale and an imperative” to assist in your understanding.

Tarot- Discovering your deck

This workshop incorporates imagery, art and intuition as you explore the traditional Rider-Waite tarot deck. Informative sequences and practice readings round out this foray into tarot. Cards, workbook and references provided.

Ring of Light

This introspective activity begins with a circle gathering and the lighting of a flame, followed by a guided meditation and visualization. We continue with journal work and let go of things that no longer serve us. This activity is typically done at night, by candlelight, with the final release at the campfire. Perfect for a full moon reflection weekend.  1 hour

Artistic Smudge Sticks

Smudge sticks are bundles of herbs – white sage, lavender, or rosemary – bound together by twine. Burning these herbs to cleanse a space and eliminate negative energy is a tradition that goes back thousands of years.  At TRS, you will take a simple smudge bundle and add charms, crystals, beads, dried herbs, and flowers to make it special to you. You will take home a piece of art that will clear your space for years to come. 1.5 hours.

Walking and Watercolors

Weather permitting, this is a lovely outdoor activity. Participants are prepped with a small back tote, holding a watercolor kit and snacks. We take a meditative nature walk about a mile in distance to a designated area where we will paint based on what we have seen and experienced along the way. The painting area is tented and replete with tables. Upon completion, we walk back to the TRS studio. 2 miles in total. 2 hours to complete activity
