Gently Active Yoga
This is yoga for stability, balance, strength, peace, and vitality. It is breath lead movement with a focus on function and intention. Movements are slow and deliberate, a moving meditation. Core seated, standing, and supine postures are explored and incorporated. It’s yoga for every BODY. (1 hour)
This activity begins with a look into the seven chakras, discovering where you are strong and open and where you are blocked. Includes an inventory, essential oils, gemstones, notes, and a yoga session accessing all of the seven chakras. (2 hours).
A low to the ground, gentle yoga practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the long holds, your muscles relax deeply. It’s a unique feeling as props, rather than muscles, are used to support the body. Bolsters, blocks, blankets, eye pillows, essential oils, and sustained rhythmic music enhance this experience. (1 hour)
The Women of Tarot Restorative Yoga
This class is designed to acquaint the participant with the powerful women of the tarot card deck. Each icon includes background information, a restorative pose, a mantra and guided breath-work. A nice twist on a restorative practice, this class was designed as a component of the “Discovering Tarot” retreat but can be integrated into any retreat.
